How to Save New Recipient Details in Yousend

Saving a recipient is easy and automatically verifies the recipient’s name for maximum security.

Step 1: Start the “Add Recipient” Process

  1. Navigate to Recipients: Open the Yousend app and tap the “Recipients” icon (at the bottom of the screen).
  2. Add New: Tap “Add recipient” at the top of the screen.

Step 2: Select Recipient’s Currency

  1. Choose Country: You will be prompted to “Select their currency.”
  2. Select Currency: Tap the country and currency where your recipient’s account is located (e.g., Nigeria (NGN), Kenya (KES), or Canada (CAD)).

Step 3: Enter Account Details

  1. Select Bank: On the “Enter account details” screen, tap the “Bank Name” dropdown menu and select your recipient’s bank (e.g., First bank of nigeria plc).
  2. Enter Account Number: Input the recipient’s Account Number (e.g., 3117574698).
  3. Automatic Verification: Yousend automatically performs a lookup using the bank and account number. The recipient’s name will appear, highlighted in green (e.g., John Doe). This verification confirms the account is correct.
  4. Save: Tap “Save” at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4: Final Confirmation

  1. Done: A confirmation screen will appear, showing a green checkmark and the message: “Recipient added. [Recipient Name] has been added to your recipients.”
  2. Tap “Done” to complete the process.

The recipient is now saved and ready for instant selection for all future transfers!
